A.V.A: Dog Tag UI/UX Design

Alliance of Valiant Arms: Dog Tag (A.V.A: Dog Tag) is a free-to-play online first-person shooter, developed by Red Duck Inc., and is built on Unreal Engine 3. A.V.A: Dog Tag is a rebranded 2018 sequel of Alliance of Valiant Arms (2007) previously serviced all over the world. Existing heritage of the brand is preserved by keeping the shape of the symbol and the colors. However, based on the established design principles, the serif type is adjusted into the san-sarif typeface to more effectively convey the neutral and professional image of the brand.

For the past decade servicing our game A.V.A through various international publishing partners, we have come to understand the pros & cons of our game by the definition sourced upon Community Voice. It is quite apparent that A.V.A came across many chang- es over its 10 years of service and not all of them were regarded as being positive.

We, Red Duck Inc., however believe A.V.A does indeed possess a unique backbone to FPS gameplay experi- ence not available in other F2P shooters out there currently. Our goal and identity of A.V.A: Dog Tag is to emphasize this uniqueness whilst remolding other various areas within the game according to what our users have say. As a developer, we may very well be ‘rough around the edges’ when it comes to publishing, but we do have the benefit of being directly connected with our community members on a daily bases to seek answers and deliver community-centered results. We are now seeing this in action through our Alpha phase with more than 4000 active community members sharing ideas and providing feedback to further change & modify our build for our upcoming CBT. We also have a dedicated group of testers (Core-testers) who are long-time fans and veterans of A.V.A working directly with us on our internal build balance testing.
